Firefox (external link) - If you are looking for an alternative browser apart from IE for more security and speed with many features such as spell-check you can download this Mozilla Firefox browser.

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition (external link) - This is the free basic edition that will protect your machine from viruses, trojans, and other threats including protection from phishing and adware as you browse the Internet.
OpenOffice.org (external link) - This is open-source (free) office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more.
